We rescue ponies and train suitable ones to work with children and adults. The ponies must ultimately possess a calm and gentle nature, which is fundamental for animals working in equine assisted learning environments. Once trained the ponies are able to carry out their work in a number of settings, often with children in hospitals, schools and hospices, as well as visits to our yard.

What we do

Rescuing ponies in need

We rescue ponies from difficult circumstances, whether that be owner ill health, welfare issues, abandonment etc. We care for and rehabilitate them, physically and mentally, and find loving loan homes for those suitable. Further details to follow.

Charity shop

Our charity shop is NOW OPEN in the beautiful village of Bampton, mid-Devon. Come and see our huge selection of tack and other horsey items, plus general clothing, books, furniture and bric-a-brac.

Equine Assisted Learning

Opportunities for small groups of children and young people with Special Educational Needs or other individual requirements to come and spend time with our ponies. We are approved to the Human Equine Interaction Register. For prices and further details contact us.

Home schooling visits

Opportunities for small groups (4 max) of home schooled children aged 6-18 to gain experience handling ponies and doing yard jobs, to improve their communication, teamwork and practical skills. Contact us for prices and further details.
